What is a Drawdown?

A drawdown is the maximum amount your bankroll can drop from its peak during a challenge.

Most platforms set a 10% drawdown limit. That means if your account drops 10% from its highest point, you’re eliminated. Even if you’re still profitable overall.

We don’t do that.

Instead, Bankroll U uses a 100% In Level Loss Limit.

This is different from a drawdown because it does not trail your peak.

That means your account can fluctuate naturally without getting shut down early. You’re allowed to manage your bankroll the way real bettors do, through variance, swings, and strategy.

Here’s what that means in practice:

If your bankroll starts at $1,000 and climbs to $1,200, other platforms might eliminate you if it falls to $1,080.

With us, you’re still in control and not penalized for normal variance.

Why?

Because short-term volatility does not equal lack of skill.

A 10% drawdown forces overly conservative betting and punishes natural variance. A 100% In Level Loss Limit gives you room to execute your strategy properly.

What is an Activity Target and Profit Target

Your Activity Target is a level specific requirement for the total amount of picks you need to place to pass the level.

If you’re given a $1,000 bankroll, your activity target will require you to place $1,000 worth of picks.

This ensures you use the bankroll strategically instead of placing one lucky pick and stopping.

Your Profit Target is the minimum amount of In-Level Profit (defined below) that must be achieved in order to satisfy a profit requirement for a particular level. A Profit Target may be expressed as a percentage of Level Start Balance or as an integer depending on context.

In-Level Profit: With respect to a level’s Profit Target, Loss Limit, or to a Performance Bonus calculation, the total amount won from Settled Picks less the total amount lost from Settled Picks within the level (a positive result indicates In-Level Profit; a negative result indicates In-Level Loss).

For example:
Turn a $1,000 bankroll into $1,250.
